Catherine has over 30 years’ governance, management and consultancy experience with high profile public and voluntary sector organisations, including the NHS. She has led successful policy and strategy programmes in the health, social care, environmental and cultural sectors. In her early career, she was a commissioning editor at Cambridge University Press.
Catherine offers insight and strategic support combined with pragmatism and an entrepreneurial streak. She is regularly invited to speak at conferences, participate in expert seminars, and to design and facilitate participative events and workshops.
Catherine has been a trustee of a number of health, environmental and arts charities, most recently Sustrans where she was board champion for Environmentally Positive Sustrans and a member of the Estates and Audit & Risk Committees. Previously, she was Lay Chair of NHS England’s Individual Funding Requests Panel (specialised commissioning) and a non-executive director of primary care trusts in East London. Between 2009 and 2012, Catherine chaired the pan-London cross-sector NHS Carbon Reduction Steering Group which supported local NHS organisations to exceed national targets as well as share good practice. In 2019, she received an Association of Anaesthetists board award for her contribution to environmentally sustainable anaesthesia and to the Research and Grants Committee.
Catherine is an associate of Future of London, 3rd Sector Mission Control, Shared Assets and Iken Associates. She collaborates with a range of trusted experts in health, environment, engagement and design in order to provide a bespoke service for every client.
